Swayambhu Mahachaitya, or Swayambhunath Stupa, is a revered Buddhist site atop a hill in the Kathmandu Valley, offering panoramic views of the city. Believed to be over 2,500 years old, its gilded spire and all-seeing Buddha eyes symbolize wisdom and enlightenment.

The complex includes shrines, temples, and a Tibetan monastery, attracting both Buddhist and Hindu devotees. Home to many monkeys, it is also called the "Monkey Temple."
